Training That Changes Behavior, Not Just Checks a Box
As a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Scott Grack provides safety training and certification programs for manufacturers in the Erie region, as well as for businesses and shops located beyond Erie County. From First Aid and CPR to safety committee certification for Pennsylvania's workers' comp discount, ERTK delivers training that sticks because it is delivered by someone who has spent nearly 15 years on the floor, not behind a desk.
The Difference Between Training and a Binder of Handouts
Most safety training looks the same. Someone shows up, reads from slides for two hours, hands out certificates, and leaves. The employees sign in. The compliance box gets checked. Nobody remembers what was covered by the following week.
That is not training. That is paperwork.
Scott Grack delivers training differently. He has spent nearly 15 years working in facilities like yours, not sitting in an office writing curriculum. When he trains your employees on lockout/tagout, he is talking about the actual equipment on your floor. When he trains on hazard communication, he is referencing the actual chemicals in your facility. The training is specific because Scott knows the work and he knows what people need to hear to actually change how they behave around hazards.
ERTK provides training both as a component of ongoing safety program contracts and as standalone engagements. Not every company needs the full program. Some need a specific training, a specific certification, or a specific compliance requirement met. That is a perfectly valid reason to call.
First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification
First Aid, CPR, and AED training is one of the most requested services ERTK provides. Certifications are valid for two years. When they expire, your employees need to recertify to remain compliant.
Scott Grack delivers First Aid, CPR, and AED training on site at your facility. The training covers adult and workplace first aid, CPR technique, and the proper use of automated external defibrillators. Employees leave with a certification card, and your company has the documentation to prove that training was completed.
For companies that are not ERTK retainer clients, First Aid/CPR/AED training is available as a standalone engagement. You schedule the training, Scott comes to your facility, your employees get certified, and the job is done. If other safety needs come up during the visit, Scott will let you know, but there is no pressure to sign up for anything beyond what you came for.
Safety Committee Training for Pennsylvania Workers' Comp Premium Discount
Pennsylvania law provides a 5 percent annual discount on workers' compensation insurance premiums for employers who establish and maintain a certified workplace safety committee. The committee must meet state requirements, including monthly meetings, minimum membership of two employer and two employee representatives, and annual training of all committee members by a qualified provider.
Scott Grack provides the required safety committee training that satisfies Pennsylvania's certification requirements. The training covers safety committee operation, hazard inspection, accident investigation, and substance abuse awareness. Upon completion, your committee has the training documentation needed to apply for or renew certification with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.
Pennsylvania employers have saved more than $943 million in workers' compensation premiums through this program. If your company is not currently participating, the premium reduction alone often covers the cost of the training.
Employee Safety Training Across Every Regulatory Area
Beyond First Aid and safety committee training, ERTK provides employee training across the full range of OSHA regulatory areas that apply to general industry and manufacturing. This includes training in hazard communication, lockout/tagout, fire safety, machine safety, electrical safety, hearing conservation, respiratory protection, PPE use, ergonomics, bloodborne pathogens, fall safety, active shooter and workplace violence preparedness, and powered industrial truck safety.
For ERTK retainer clients, employee training is built into the safety program and scheduled according to the facility's needs. For companies that are not retainer clients, individual training sessions are available on a per-engagement basis.
Scott delivers all training on site at your facility. He does not subcontract trainers. He does not send a substitute. When you schedule training with ERTK, Scott Grack is the person in the room.
Powered Industrial Truck Classroom Training
OSHA requires that all powered industrial truck operators receive training before they are allowed to operate equipment. ERTK provides the classroom component of that training, covering safe operating procedures, pedestrian awareness, load handling, and facility-specific safety protocols.
Every facility runs different equipment. The classroom training Scott delivers covers the regulatory requirements and general operating principles that apply across all powered industrial truck types. Facility-specific hands-on evaluation is conducted in coordination with your operation to ensure it reflects the actual equipment your employees use.
One Training or a Full Program. Your Call.
Not every company needs a comprehensive safety program. Some need a single certification or a single training session to meet a specific requirement. Scott will tell you what you need and let you decide what makes sense. No pressure. No upsell.
