Any of This Sound Familiar?

You have a binder on a shelf somewhere that is supposed to be your safety program. It has not been updated in years. You are not sure what half of it covers anymore, but you figure it is better than nothing. It is not. If OSHA walks in tomorrow, that binder will not save you.

You got a letter or a visit from OSHA and now you have citations, a timeline, and a boss or a board asking what happened. You are not looking for a sales pitch. You need someone who has been through this before and can tell you exactly what to do next.

Six months ago, someone left and safety got added to your plate. You are doing the best you can, but you do not have a safety background and you know enough to know that what you do not know could hurt someone. You need a person you can hand this to and trust that it gets done right.

What Happens When You Call

You Get an Honest Assessment

Scott visits your facility at no cost and no obligation. He walks the floor, reviews your documentation, and asks the questions most people do not think to ask. You get an honest assessment of where things stand.

You Get a Plan Built for Your Facility

Not a template. Not a generic checklist pulled off the internet. A safety program proposal built around the specific risks, operations, and regulatory requirements of your facility. You see exactly what is covered and exactly what it costs.

You Have Someone in Your Corner

ERTK clients do not call a 1-800 number when something goes wrong. They call Scott. If OSHA shows up, Scott is there. If an employee gets hurt, Scott answers the phone. If you have a question at 9 PM about how to store a chemical, Scott answers that too. No additional charge. That is what the relationship looks like.

Who Is Scott Grack?

Scott Grack is the owner of Erie Right to Know, Inc. (ERTK), a safety consulting firm that has been serving manufacturers in the Erie, Pennsylvania region and surrounding areas since 1986. Scott's father started the business with a science background, became a Certified Industrial Hygienist, and built the foundation for ERTK. Scott learned under the guidance of his father, eventually transitioning to a leadership role, where he built ERTK into something his clients rely on — one consultant, one focus, and a direct line when it matters.

Scott holds the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation, one of the highest professional certifications in occupational safety, issued by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. The CSP requires a bachelor's degree, a minimum of four years of professional safety experience, and ongoing recertification. It is not a weekend course. It is the standard the industry uses to identify professionals who know the field at the highest level.

ERTK's sole focus is safety, a discipline Scott has practiced for nearly 15 years.

Questions You Should Ask Before You Hire Anyone

If you have employees working with equipment, chemicals, heights, noise, or heavy machinery, you have regulatory obligations whether you know what they are or not. The size of your company does not determine whether you need help. The hazards your people are exposed to every day do. Scott works with companies across a range of sizes. The consultation is free, and the fastest way to find out if ERTK is a fit is to call.

It depends on what your business needs. Some clients hire Scott for a single training or a one-time facility assessment. Others work with ERTK on an annual retainer that covers ongoing safety program management, training, and direct access to Scott year-round. The cost scales to the scope. Scott will meet with you, walk your facility, assess what you actually need, and give you a proposal with real numbers. No surprises.

You call Scott. He has represented clients during OSHA audits and investigations. He knows the process, he knows the regulations, and he knows how to respond. If you are an ERTK client, OSHA representation is part of the relationship, not an add-on fee. If you are not a client yet and you just got cited, call anyway. Scott will tell you what you are dealing with and will explain how he can help.

You can try. Most companies do until something happens. The issue is not effort. It is knowing what you do not know. OSHA covers more than 30 regulatory areas across general industry alone. Hazard communication. Lockout/tagout. Machine guarding. Respiratory protection. Electrical safety. Hearing conservation. Powered industrial trucks. Ergonomics. Each one has specific requirements, specific documentation, and specific consequences for noncompliance. A single serious violation can carry a penalty of up to $16,550. A willful violation can exceed $165,000. The cost of a safety consultant is not an expense. It is insurance against the things you did not know were out of compliance.

No. If a single training is what you need, that is what you get. Scott will let you know if he sees anything else worth addressing while he is there, but the decision is always yours.

The Consultation Is Free. The Conversation Is Confidential.

Scott will come to your facility, walk the floor, and give you an honest assessment. No cost. No obligation.
